My cards using the Groovy Summer collection was up on the Echo Park page the other day.
This was such a fun collection to work with – brought back memories of Friday night roller skating. The colors and the elements are so groovy 😉 The collection is on sale right now too.
There are FREE instructions on how to create all three of these up on the Echo Park Website
What is really fun is that this will fit in a regular A2 envelope for easy mailing. There are FREE instructions on how to make this up on the Echo Park Website and you can find them HERE
It was fun creating it and I hope you give it a try!
The new Inspired By challenge is up. I was immediately drawn to the colors and I love a haphazard sketch so I was loosely inspired by it too. The new Save the Date collection from Echo Park is absolutely gorgeous and it worked perfectly for the color palette. The background woodgrain paper is from Stampin Up!
I started by fussy cutting the flowers from one of the pattern papers. I then layered the background papers until I was happy with the loo. Once the flowers were down (the middle on is on foam squares. I tucked the sentiments here and there simulating the sketch. The white hearts were the negative image from a heart border that I have had just waiting for the right project and this was it. The XOXO is from Lawn Fawn and then to finish it off I added some Enamel Dots.
I am up on the Coffee Loving Papercrafters blog today. It is a new month so there’s a new theme up and this month it is Sunshine!
For my card I reached for the You Are My Sunshine collection from Echo Park which is fitting don’t you think?
The mug is a die from Honey Bee Stamps. I stencilled the sun on it using a stencil from Echo Park. I then added the shine sticker and a heart sticker and of course some staples. I mounted the mug on foam squares and added a little white heart for steam.
I would love to see your sunshine themed coffee cards. Remember… iced coffee/ iced tea counts…
The new Inspired By Challenge is up.I really love the colors in this week’s inspiration and had planned on doing something with them but then I remembered I had the Mom’s Kitchen collection from Echo Park just waiting to be used so I dug it out and went along with the theme.
I embossed the mint cardstock with an embossing folder from Unity. The recipe card, is just that, a recipe card – Echo Park has some fun ones! I just cut it down and used a notebook punch to add some detail.
I adhered the stickers to some scrap paper then fussy cut them out and mounted them on foam squares. The thanks die is from CTMH and I love the gingham washi tape in the Mom’s Kitchen collection so I added a bit of it too.
check out this week’s inspiration and be sure to play along
There’s just something about school/teacher themed things that speak to me 😁 IYKYK
So when this new Unity KOMpanion kit was released (and the cute paper pack to coordinate) you know I had to have it. I kept the card pretty simple as I wanted the image to be the focus. I believe the alphabet background die is from Reverse Confetti (retired now) but I can’t remember. I stamped the Teacher’s Like You image, coloured then fussy cut out and mounted on foam squares. I stamped one of the sentiments from the kit but cut off the teacher part so I could use this old (again retired) teacher die (from PTI?).
For the tab at the top (a PTI die) and the pencil (I fussy cut from the paper) I used the Apple Seeds & ABCs paper pack.
Now this cute stamp set is part of this month’s KOM or you can get it individually but do so soon as it is on SALE right now!
Happy Friday1 I am really looking forward to this weekend as we don’t have to go anywhere and I can putter, craft and get caught up around here! It has been a very busy couple of months, I feel like a hamster in a wheel – and I don’t even work full time LOL
Anyways, I was up on the Coffee Loving Papercrafters blog the other day with another card for this month’s Lattes & Layers challenge which is bloom.
For this card I went with Lilacs… which are in bloom around here right now and I love it! One of my favorite flowers/scents… in fact as I write this I have a lilac scented wax melt going and it is amazing.
just yesterday received a box of goodies from Unity and this new Lilac Lane paper pack was part of it. Isn’t it lovely?! I would love to be sitting in a garden of lilacs, while sipping my morning tea (hence the wax melt… LOL) I used the Tea & Besties stamp from Unity.
Once adhering all the pieces I fussy cut a few of the lilacs from the pattern paper to embellish the corners.
This fun stamp set is ON SALE right now (only $11.20 REG $28) and you definitely NEED these gorgeous papers! (click on images for direct links)
Itt gave me a good excuse to finally ink up this stamp from Stampin Up! I have paired it with some papers from SU as well. For a bit of whimsy, I added some stitching, including a ‘flight path’. The little bee is mounted on foam squares for dimension.
I actually thought I had a couple of frog stamps but in one of my purges I must have gotten rid of them so I found this fun set of frogs and decided they would be perfect.
The collection comes with both coloured in and line drawing Clip Art. I was in a hurry and decided the coloured version was perfect. I printed, cut out and mounted on foam squares. The paper is from Echo Park and the die and sentiment are from Honey Bee Stamps. I also mounted the sentiment of foam squares.
