    Happiness is Homemade

Hey everyone, happy Friday and the first Friday of September. In my mind it’s fall LOL

For this week’s Inspired By challenge I was inspired by the rolling pins and used some goodies from Crafty Stamp Co (they have FREE shipping this weekend!)

I paired the Patissir Meadow with the Sugar & Spice paper pack. (I love their packs as they are nice and thick and come with a plastic sleeve to hold them in once opened) I used some scraps and stitched them on then stamped and coloured some of the items on the stamp set. All of which are mounted on foam squares.

I have had the homemade die for several years and don’t remember where I got it. (Also think this is the first time using it LOLOL)

I used one of my sketches – which you can find HERE (I plan on adding more periodically so be sure to check back). If you use any of my sketches I would love if you tagged me and linked to my sketch page so others can find it!

I can’t wait to see how you are inspired this week.

  • You’re the Berry Best

    You’re the Berry Best

Hey everyone, happy Friday. The new Inspired By Challenge is up and this week’s inspiration just gives me all the feels. Who else just loves vintage and the stories that are behind the items?

I was inspired by the theme, the colors, the gingham and sketch (I guess pretty much everything) for my card. I pulled out the Strawberry Fields collection from Echo Park.

To tell the truth, I attempted some die cut strawberries using my Silhouette but lately I fight more with it than use it and for this card I fought more with it and thus decided to do my tried and true… fussy cutting LOL.

I actually was able to use some of my scraps on this card which always makes me happy. I added stitching and scallops to carry out the homespun feel. I left the bottom with no sentiment as I thought it could be added later – either teacher, mom, friend… when I decide to use the card.

I fussy cut the strawberries from pattern paper and then mounted on foam squares.

That’s all for me today. Hope you have a great weekend and can’t wait to see how you are inspired.

  • A Little Bunch of Happy

    A Little Bunch of Happy

Although I am eagerly awaiting fall’s cooler weather, our new heat pump has me not ‘hating’ the heat quite as much. And thus I was in a sunny, flowery mood when I created this card using the new Sniffs & Stems stamp set from Unity (which is ON SALE as a Spotlight steal so be sure to grab it!)

It was a good card to use up some of my scraps that were sitting around on my desk from my Echo Park projects. After adhering the papers I of course added some stitching. I then colored this cutie, fussy cut out and mounted on foam squares.

Now I hope to spend some time in my craft room doing a cleaning – I figure if I do it every so often it won’t become such a big job like it usually is LOL. How often do you clean yours? or is your always neat and tidy?

Be sure to grab this stamp set while it is on sale!

    Happiness is Homemade

Happy Monday! I hope that you had a great weekend. I actually took the time to do some baking since our weather was a little cooler (in the 20s rather than the 30s). Baked some sourdough bread along with some blueberry scones.

It is my turn over on the Crafty Stamp Co blog again and I decided to create another baking themed card.

I used the the Patisser Meadow stamp and the Sugar & Spice collection.

This time I kept the design pretty simple as I used scraps and wanted the images to be more of the focal point. I adhered the papers then added some stitching – that adds to the homemade feel doesn’t it?

After coloring and cutting them out, I mounted the main three on foam squares for some interest and dimension.

  • Hello

    Hello

I was able to play along with a few challenges and was happy to ink up one of my newer purchases. The Speedy Stamp from Unity.

I used the sketch from JUGS and the papers are from the Flower Shoppe collection from Carta Bella which is available at Simon Says Stamp. For the waves I used and old MFT backgrond die. The Hello is from CTMH. To create the bubbles I used a circle punch and some sequins. After coloring the turtle with my copics I then added some Glossy Accents to his shell and mounted him on foam squares.

The sentiment is from the CZ Design Stamps and Dies Just Sayin set

  • I can’t I am making cookies

    I can’t I am making cookies

I am so excited to have my first project as a design team member for Craft Stamp Co up on their blog today.

For my card today I have used the Patisser Meadow stamp set along with the Sugar & Spice papers as they coordinate so well. As a homebody/introvert I can totally relate to this sentiment LOL I would much rather stay home and bake/craft etc than go out. Who is with me on this one?

I used a scallop punch to create the scallop borders which I think adds a nice feminine touch. Cute story, when my granddaughter was little (like around 2) I bought her a very cute apron, hat and mitt set for when she baked with me. She wore that every single time until it was too small. She then, when she was about 7 got another set from her auntie and continued to wear them. She is now almost 12 and whenever she bakes at my place (all on her own now!) she grabs my apron 😊 – no chef’s hat though LOL

After coloring with copics I mounted her and the bowls on foam squares. Then stamped and cut apart the sentiment before adhering it.

  • Cat Lover

    Cat Lover

I was up on the @echoparkpaper page the other day with my cat lover cards. Such a fun collection to play with and if you’re a cat lover you definitely need this!

There are free instructions for these cards up on the Echo Park website.

  • Groovy…

    Groovy…

Hey everyone, the new Inspired by Challenge is up. I was inspired by the boho vibe and decided to create 2 cards. with the Our Groovy Summer collection from Echo Park

For my first card, along with the boho vibe I picked out the happy face and incorporated that using an old Technique Tuesday die (remember them?!). To be honest I am not sure I have ever used the die LOL. I also added some of the Washi tape from the collection that had some smiles.

Next up I decided to use the scraps to incorporate the happy face and the sketch (loosely) to create a second card.

Can’t wait to see how you were inspired.

  • No Birdie

    No Birdie

My second card today. I had already done laundry and a run, and it’s raining so when hubby started cutting onions the only thing to do was head down to my craft room 😆

I used the sketch from Paper Players and knew that this new Lovebirds & Oddballs stamp from Unity (it’s on sale!) would be perfect.

I only used the end 2 birds (stamped one twice) and fussy cut them out. The paper is from the Here’s the scoop paper pack.

I added glossy accents to their eyes and mounted them on foam squares.

Be sure to grab this stamp set while it’s on sale!

  • You’re the Zest

    You’re the Zest

Everyday I check on my lemon tree to see if I am going to get any this year. Lots of flowers but no lemons yet.

So seemed fitting to play with the You’re the Zest stamp set and pair it with the Lemonade collection

Not much to say as I kept it pretty simple. I used scraps for the background and mounted the lemons on foam squares
