    Happiness is Homemade

Hey everyone, happy Friday and the first Friday of September. In my mind it’s fall LOL

For this week’s Inspired By challenge I was inspired by the rolling pins and used some goodies from Crafty Stamp Co (they have FREE shipping this weekend!)

I paired the Patissir Meadow with the Sugar & Spice paper pack. (I love their packs as they are nice and thick and come with a plastic sleeve to hold them in once opened) I used some scraps and stitched them on then stamped and coloured some of the items on the stamp set. All of which are mounted on foam squares.

I have had the homemade die for several years and don’t remember where I got it. (Also think this is the first time using it LOLOL)

I used one of my sketches – which you can find HERE (I plan on adding more periodically so be sure to check back). If you use any of my sketches I would love if you tagged me and linked to my sketch page so others can find it!

I can’t wait to see how you are inspired this week.

  • Unleash the Joy

    Unleash the Joy

Hey everyone, a brand new month and I am excited because to me, when it is September it is fall LOL but I know some of you might feel this way about the end of summer.

I have used this fun stamp called Coffee is Not Enough from Unity Isn’t she fun. Can. you relate to her some days?

I paired her with the Butter My Biscuit paper pack which is also from Unity. Have you ever used their papers? They are a nice thick, cardstock. So many fun paper packs to choose from too.

After coloring her with copics I mounted her on foam squares, but tucking some messy thread under as well, just to further the ‘foggy/messy brain’ feeling haha.

That’s all from me today. But I am curious are you team summer or team fall?

  • You’re the Berry Best

    You’re the Berry Best

Hey everyone, happy Friday. The new Inspired By Challenge is up and this week’s inspiration just gives me all the feels. Who else just loves vintage and the stories that are behind the items?

I was inspired by the theme, the colors, the gingham and sketch (I guess pretty much everything) for my card. I pulled out the Strawberry Fields collection from Echo Park.

To tell the truth, I attempted some die cut strawberries using my Silhouette but lately I fight more with it than use it and for this card I fought more with it and thus decided to do my tried and true… fussy cutting LOL.

I actually was able to use some of my scraps on this card which always makes me happy. I added stitching and scallops to carry out the homespun feel. I left the bottom with no sentiment as I thought it could be added later – either teacher, mom, friend… when I decide to use the card.

I fussy cut the strawberries from pattern paper and then mounted on foam squares.

That’s all for me today. Hope you have a great weekend and can’t wait to see how you are inspired.

  • Wakey Wakes

    Wakey Wakes

I am up on the Crafty Stamp Co today. I combined a couple of different stamp sets for this one.

I started with the Camping Meadow stamp set, colored her and the little coffee mug with copics and fussy cut out. Using a glue dot I adhered the coffee mug to her hand to look like she is carrying a coffee.

I used the Coffee Life pattern paper as the background to carry out the coffee theme. I stamped one of the sentiments from the A Day Without stamp set then mounted Meadow on foam squares for dimension.

  • A Little Bunch of Happy

    A Little Bunch of Happy

Although I am eagerly awaiting fall’s cooler weather, our new heat pump has me not ‘hating’ the heat quite as much. And thus I was in a sunny, flowery mood when I created this card using the new Sniffs & Stems stamp set from Unity (which is ON SALE as a Spotlight steal so be sure to grab it!)

It was a good card to use up some of my scraps that were sitting around on my desk from my Echo Park projects. After adhering the papers I of course added some stitching. I then colored this cutie, fussy cut out and mounted on foam squares.

Now I hope to spend some time in my craft room doing a cleaning – I figure if I do it every so often it won’t become such a big job like it usually is LOL. How often do you clean yours? or is your always neat and tidy?

Be sure to grab this stamp set while it is on sale!

  • Ice Cream is Always an Option

Ice Cream is Always an Option

Hey everyone, it has been a busy week around here with getting a heat pump installed. I didn’t get as much crafty time as I wanted but sure am grateful for the coolness. Of course, that doesn’t mean ice cream isn’t a cooling down option LOL

For this week’s Inspired By challenge I was inspired by the theme and colours.

The colours in the Craft Room Collection from Echo Park and since the inspiration photo uses pompoms I thought this collection was perfect… so I used it I paired it with the One Scoop at a Time Unity stamp. I stamped on some of the pattern papers, cut out and mounted on foam squares. I then just added the border sticker to the top and bottom.

Can’t wait to see how you are inspired!

  • I like big mugs

    I like big mugs

It has been so hot here that I have been making iced coffee’s at home to have something besides water. I have absolutely been making them big and in my water tumblers LOL Thus… this card is not wrong ha!

I have used the Art Impressions Stay Hydrated Clear Stamps and Dies isn’t it fun?!

I had created my Echo Park DT assignment using the Here Comes Fall collection and it was still out so I decided, since I haven’t paper pieced in awhile, it was time. It’s a great way to use up scraps.

For the sentiment, it was one that I had made and printed up on my computer. I mounted both the sentiment and image on foam squares for some dimension.

So tell me, what size is your coffee?

  • Happiness is Homemade

    Happiness is Homemade

Happy Monday! I hope that you had a great weekend. I actually took the time to do some baking since our weather was a little cooler (in the 20s rather than the 30s). Baked some sourdough bread along with some blueberry scones.

It is my turn over on the Crafty Stamp Co blog again and I decided to create another baking themed card.

I used the the Patisser Meadow stamp and the Sugar & Spice collection.

This time I kept the design pretty simple as I used scraps and wanted the images to be more of the focal point. I adhered the papers then added some stitching – that adds to the homemade feel doesn’t it?

After coloring and cutting them out, I mounted the main three on foam squares for some interest and dimension.

I hope that you have a great week and get some crafty time.

  • Really Late or Really Early

    Really Late or Really Early

I had a bit of time this morning to play in my craft room so I dug out the Eventually Yours stamp and inked it up.

I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches again as it is different than my usual go tos. It is nice to do something different LOL,

I paired the stamp set with the Here’s the Scoop paper pack. I really like the bright happy colors in this set. Of course the Thinking Out Loud stamp set had to make an appearance too. Once I mounted the images on foam squares. I added a few sequins for the ‘snail trail’

Have a great day. We unfortunately are off to a memorial today.

Grab the stamp set while it is on sale!

    Here’s the sketch I used

  • Hello

    Hello

I was able to play along with a few challenges and was happy to ink up one of my newer purchases. The Speedy Stamp from Unity.

I used the sketch from JUGS and the papers are from the Flower Shoppe collection from Carta Bella which is available at Simon Says Stamp. For the waves I used and old MFT backgrond die. The Hello is from CTMH. To create the bubbles I used a circle punch and some sequins. After coloring the turtle with my copics I then added some Glossy Accents to his shell and mounted him on foam squares.

The sentiment is from the CZ Design Stamps and Dies Just Sayin set
