    Mom’s Kitchen

I am up on the Coffee Loving Papercrafters blog today. I am sharing a coffee card, but it should be an iced coffee as it is so hot here this week – which does give me a good excuse to hide out in my craft room where it is cooler LOL

For my card this week I have once again used the Spill the Coffee, Darlin’ stamp set from Unity – which, if you don’t have it yet, be sure to grab it while it is on sale! I created a project for my daughter using the Mom’s Kitchen collection by Echo Park for my daughter and while the paper was out I thought it worked well with this image.

After layering the papers and stickers I finished it off with some stitching. I then coloured her and mounted with foam squares for dimension.

That’s it for today, I am off to find some coolness… now be sure to grab the stamp set while it is on sale!

  • Recipe Binder

    Recipe Binder

About 18 years ago or so (pre Pinterest) my husband started cooking, thus printing off recipes. I made him this simple binder as a stocking stuffer to hold them.

He still digs it out once in awhile too.

Little did I know, little eyes were watching and remembering…

A few months ago my daughter Danica (now 28, married and living in Germany), said she prints off recipes (I thought I was the only one still doing this 😆) and would love to keep them in a binder and that it would be more special if it was one I made.

The Mom’s Kitchen collection was perfect for the challenge (I mean project 😏)

Because the front has to go inside the plastic on the front, I could have too much dimension. Thus stickers were key here.

I added tabs to the inside pages, but left them blank so she could add her own since she is going vegan. Of course stickers added.

Echo Park has these cute recipe cards so I tucked some in just in case she wants to write out some. Ideally I would write out some of her favourites but her favourites from childhood include meat (meatloaf being one of them 😆)

My oldest daughter is heading to Germany, taking my granddaughter there, so she can tuck this in her suitcase.

Hope this is what my daughter envisioned.

Do you still print out recipes?

  • You’ve Been People-ing

    You’ve Been People-ing

Happy Saturday! We had 5 people staying with us for the past week and they all left yesterday. It was a great week, lots of fun, laughs and memories made!

We stayed up late a few times playing Hitster. If you like music, you need to play it!

Seemed fitting to ink up this cutie called When You’ve Had Enough from Unity (on SALE right now)

I don’t know about you but I definitely need time alone to recharge. Probably why I wake up much earlier than everyone else.

On both cards the pup and sentiment are on foam squares. The paper is Pup – Pup and it’s on sale too!

When everyone left I started laundry and cleaning! What’s the first thing you do when company leaves?

For this card I used the negative piece from the die cut.

Be sure to grab this stamp and paper while they’re on sale!

  • Hydrangea Thank You

    Hydrangea Thank You

The new Inspired By Challenge is up. I love this one. My grandma always had blue hydrangeas on either side of her front door (and I actually have one in my yard that is a cutting that was started form one of hers!)

I was inspired by the theme, colors,, hydrangeas, and loosely by the sketch. As soon as I saw the challenge I knew that the new Flower Shoppe collection by Carta Bella was perfect ( I absolutely love this new collection!)

I used an old MFT background die to add some more depth to the background. Then I layered on pieces of the pattern paper and one of the frames from the Frames & Tags and then stitched. I then topped with a hydrangea sticker. As always I adhered the sticker to scrap paper and fussy cut out so I could mount of foam squares. The thank you is also a sticker from the collection.

  • We Came…

    We Came…

The new Inspired By Challenge is up and I was inspired by the fun summer vibes, the floaties and the swimming theme.

Aren’t these two gals fun?! It is a new stamp from Unity called Cabana Critics (and it is on sale right now). I had fun coloring them with copics. I then fussy cut them out and mounted on foam squares. The wavy die in the background is an old MFT one. I had it cut and ready as I made it for another project and didn’t use it. I have a little plastic folder where I keep die cuts I decide not to use just in case they come in handy…. and this one did.

The paper is an old CTMH collection and I thought it went well with the image. If you love this stamp set, be sure to grab it as it is on sale right now!

Here’s this week’s challenge photo, how are you inspired?

  • A Little Perk-Me-Up

    A Little Perk-Me-Up

Hey everyone,. I JUST finished purging and reorganizing (again) my craft room so I look forward to being in there more often – especially on the hot days as it is much cooler in our basement!

I am up on the Coffee Loving Papercrafters blog today and I had to share my card using this new Unity stamp

For today’s card I have used the NEW Uniquely Unity set Spill the Coffee, Darlin. It is such a great stamp set and yes you need it LOL (it’s on SALE right now too)

I mounted the image on foam squares for dimension. I also dug into some OLD supplies and added the spiral clip. Do you remember when they were all the rage? I have so many in several colors…

Now if you love this stamp set (and paper pack for that matter) go grab them as they are both on SALE right now!

  • Hi

    Hi

The Simon Says Challenge for this month is Cute Critters so I had to ink up this cutie Look Up Pup from Unity

I colored with Copics and mounted on foam squares. The speech bubble is from the Thinking Out Loud stamp set

The dies are some old MFT ones. The background one was perfect for this weeks Just Add Ink Sketch

I added some liquid glass to his nose and eyes for interest.

Now go grab this cute stamp set while it’s on sale!

  • S’more Than You Know

    S’more Than You Know

When I saw this week’s sketch from Freshly Made Sketches I knew what I wanted to do.

I thought of this oldie (but goodie) S’More die set from MFT. I die cut out the sticks and marshmallows then inked the edges of the marshmallows a bit. I mounted them on foam squares.

The sentiment and large marshmallow are from The Stamps of Life.

Now I just have to make up a S’More themed gift basket and find someone to give if to 😏

Here’s the sketch and I am playing along with Just Us Girls as well because it was time to dig out these fun dies again!

  • Relax & Enjoy

    Relax & Enjoy

The new Inspired By challenge is up and it gave me a good excuse to dig into some of my older Stampin’ Up stash.

I was inspired by the beach theme and the colors. I used some of my older Stampin’ Up! stash of papers (can’t remember the name of the collection) – the colors were perfect for this challenge don’t you think? I also used the Notes & Totes stamp and die from Stampin’ Up. I mounted the tote on foam squares for some dimension.

Can’t wait to see how it inspires you! Be sure to check out what the rest of the design team have created.
