    One Challenge – Two Ways

I was inspired to create two totally different cards for this week’s challenge and couldn’t decide which one to use so I used both.

For this first one, I was inspired by the colors and created a Halloween card.

I dug into my old CTMH stash and used up some of the scraps that I have been hoarding. I adhered the cat sticker to some scrap paper and cut out so that I could mount on foam squares. The Trick or Treat die is from Simon says.

Next up, I was inspired by the ‘animal in the grass’ and the sketch for this card.

The paper is from Stampin’ Up! I thought the mushroom meadow was perfect for this cute snail. I have a thing for snails, I think they are so cute and honestly don’t care if they nibble my plants. This guy is the new Eventually Yours stamp set from Unity and it is actually on sale right now too!

I mounted him on foam squares for some dimension

Grab this cute set while it is on sale!

Can’t wait to see how you are inspired this week. Have a great weekend!

  • Cat Lover

    Cat Lover

I was up on the @echoparkpaper page the other day with my cat lover cards. Such a fun collection to play with and if you’re a cat lover you definitely need this!

There are free instructions for these cards up on the Echo Park website.

  • Thinking of You

    Thinking of You

I am very honoured to have been asked to join in on sharing this cute digital image by Kreativezauberby Nilu. What’s cool is the set comes with a colored image, outline and some paper. I chose to color mine.

I used papers from the Mouse & Me Birthday by Echo Park and thus colored her to coordinate. The Sentiment is from Stampin Up! I had fun coloring her and then mounted her on foam squares. Funny thing, this heart was just laying on my desk, it had been hanging around for awhile so I decided to put it to use for this card.

Check out the fun kit that comes with this image!

  • A Wink from Santa

    A Wink from Santa

Ooohhh this new Unity KOMpanion stamp set had me. Anyone who knows me knows I love Santa, I have a collection of them – especially love the cute ones just like this stamp he’s my favourite.

Both cards were made using an old Carta Bella collection, called, of course Dear Santa.

I colored both images pretty similar and added some sparkles to the fur and pom pom on his hat. The label punch for this card is from Stampin’ Up!

Of course after coloring and fussy cutting I mounted him on foam squares.

And with all of my Christmas or Winter themed cards, they never seem fully complete until some snowflakes are added somewhere.

Now if you need this stamp set, and I believe you do… go grab it as it is on sale right now!

  • A Little Fall Hello

    A Little Fall Hello

I am sitting here drinking my tea with a light blanket over my legs because the morning is cool. I love it. Means, fall is just around the corner so this card is perfect… A little fall hello – this new Mice & Cozy Unity stamp is a must have! Those little mice are so darn cute!

I kept the design simple as I wanted the mice to be the spotlight. I did emboss the inner white panel using an old CTMH leaf folder. The die cut letters are also from CTMH. I stamped the mice, coloried with copics then fussy cut them out.

Of course, as always, I mounted them on foam squares for some dimension.

If you love fall at all, then you need this stamp set don’t you think? It is on sale right now, so no better time to grab it!

  • Hooray!

    Hooray!

The new Inspired By Challenge is up and it is just beachy LOL.. I was inspired by the colors, sketch, woodgrain and the frog for my card.

I just love these cute Happy Frogs, the clip art set comes with precolored and outlines which is fun. I chose the precolored… I used scraps of paper to creeate the background then just stitched for some interest. the sentiment is from Honey Bee Stamps and the talking bubble is of course the Thinking Out Loud set from Unity. I mounted the frogs, and the sentiment (excluding the so excited) on foam squares for some dimension.

Now here’s the inspiration for this week. Can’t wait to see how it inspires you.

  • Just One More Coffee

    Just One More Coffee

Hey everyone, happy August! I hope that you have had a great summer so far. I have been enjoying the fruits of my labor (literally) as my blueberry bushes have been producing more than they ever have!

Anyways, it’s coffee time. LOL. I am up on the Coffee Loving Papercrafters blog today. I feel like this one is appropriate today as in BC we had a long weekend so yesterday was a holiday and I suspect there may be a few people needing their coffee this morning ha!

For my card I have used my new goodies from Crafty Stamp Co. A little background, I was thinking of my youngest daughter when I made this. She loves her coffee, her cats and pink so I just may have to send this to her (all the way to Germany!)

I just layered the papers until I liked the look then added some stitching. After coloring the image with copics I fussy cut and mounted on foam squares. I did add the zzzs using an old CTMH alphabet stamp.

  • Groovy…

    Groovy…

Hey everyone, the new Inspired by Challenge is up. I was inspired by the boho vibe and decided to create 2 cards. with the Our Groovy Summer collection from Echo Park

For my first card, along with the boho vibe I picked out the happy face and incorporated that using an old Technique Tuesday die (remember them?!). To be honest I am not sure I have ever used the die LOL. I also added some of the Washi tape from the collection that had some smiles.

Next up I decided to use the scraps to incorporate the happy face and the sketch (loosely) to create a second card.

Can’t wait to see how you were inspired.

  • No Birdie

    No Birdie

My second card today. I had already done laundry and a run, and it’s raining so when hubby started cutting onions the only thing to do was head down to my craft room 😆

I used the sketch from Paper Players and knew that this new Lovebirds & Oddballs stamp from Unity (it’s on sale!) would be perfect.

I only used the end 2 birds (stamped one twice) and fussy cut them out. The paper is from the Here’s the scoop paper pack.

I added glossy accents to their eyes and mounted them on foam squares.

Be sure to grab this stamp set while it’s on sale!

  • You’re the Zest

    You’re the Zest

Everyday I check on my lemon tree to see if I am going to get any this year. Lots of flowers but no lemons yet.

So seemed fitting to play with the You’re the Zest stamp set and pair it with the Lemonade collection

Not much to say as I kept it pretty simple. I used scraps for the background and mounted the lemons on foam squares
