    Cozy Vibes

I played along with the Inspired By Challenge once again, this time with a very different look. I was inspired by the mittens. I thought the knit paper in the White Winter papers by Unity would make great mittens so I dug out an old mitten die and created them.

I stitched around them for some interest and added a snowflake and twine. Before mounting them, I stencilled the background with a snowflake stencil. The sentiment is from the Cozy Vibes stamp set (which is on sale right now)

I mounted the mittens on foam squares because I like the dimension it adds.

    Hot Chocolate Kind of Day

I am back with another card inspired by the Inspired By challenge. For this card I was inspired by the colors, sketch and the theme and pulled out an old CTMH stamp set and background die and started colouring. I don’t have any purple paper in these colors so I am going to have to change that because this light shade of purple (lilac, one of my favorite plants) is one of my favorite colors!

I did emboss the main panel with a snowflake embossing folder before topping it with the circle die. The sentiment is from a Newton’s Nook stamp set Cup of Cocoa.

Now since I don’t have the right cardstock colors, I colored a bit of white cardstock then punched out the snowflakes so that they coordinated with the stamped images.

Have you played along with us over at Inspired By yet? I am also playing along at the Paper Players challenge – Signs of Winter

  • Hello

    Hello

This is my third week being guest designer over at JUGS and this week it is a mood board. I was inspired by the green, wood (I embossed the white cardstock with a wood grain) and the fashion diva 😉 I used a fun clip art image as I thought she was perfect for this inspiration.

Here’s this week’s challenge, the Mood board

  • Sweet Wishes

    Sweet Wishes

The new Inspired By Challenge is up and I was pretty literal with my take on it… gave me a good excuse to use my Cake Pop stamp set from PTI again. And I will admit it took me longer to make this than it should have LOL

I combined it with a die and sentiment stamp from The Stamps of Life.. With everything being mounted on foam squares for dimension.

Now we would love to see how you are inspired

  • Bundle Up!

    Bundle Up!

Are you tired of seeing winter cards from me yet?! I think they’re my favourite to make. Well I have another one that was inspired by the theme and toque at Inspired By and for the Sweater theme over on the Coffee Loving Papercrafters Blog Lattes & Layers

I used some older papers and ephemera from Simple Stories. The toque and sweater are from a Concord & 9th die. I also added one of my most used winter dies – the snowflake border from Poppy Stamps (I think)

I mounted the main images on foam squares

  • Cozy Hello

    Cozy Hello

I played along with a few challenges because I just got this Unity Snowmie stamp and I was excited to ink him up. Love how big he is. I used some scraps of my Simple Stories papers. I embossed the white background to add some interest but still keep it CAS. The sentiment is from the Hello Warm Fuzzies Whit Kit (on sale so grab it, because those snowmen and penguins in the kit are super cute!)

I am playing along with the CAS on Friday challenge which is Snowman. I combined it with the sketch from Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge and the Simon Says Challenge – use something new

  • Ski Pass

    Ski Pass

The new Inspired By Challenge is up and I was inspired by the colors and winter theme. I used a new image from Angie Blom Designs along with some papers from Simple Stories. I had the die cut frame laying on my desk for a previous project so I incorporated it and added a bit of glitter to it. I was going for the look of walking around a winter ski village (here it would be Whistler, which is on my bucket list one day to spend a weekend there). To add even more detail to the card I embossed the white cardstock and then finished off the card with some snowflakes.

Now here are the Inspired By images, we would love for you to play along!

    Whatever Keeps You Warm

I am up on the Coffee Loving Papercrafters blog today and since it is a new month there’s a new theme challenge happening. This month the theme is Sweater. I knew thisGretchen Girl Stamp would work perfectly for this challenge and I have used a sentiment from Warm & Cozy Season

I used a sweater embossing folder to emboss the main card base, though it is a little hard to tell.

Check out the stamps and paper here (click on images)

Now come on over to the Coffee Loving Papercrafters blog and play along

  • Hello Warm Fuzzies Trio

    Hello Warm Fuzzies Trio

When I first saw these cuties in the newest Whit Kit – Hello Warm Fuzzies by Unity I couldn’t wait to play with them. They are just so cute! I paired them with this fun paper set called Studio Light Hello Winter Friendz Paper Pad. Of course I was inspired by the snowmen once again from Inspired By.

I basically used only 3 of the pattern papers to create these cards. For the first one I cut some scraps of the white cardstock and layered to look like snow and added some stitching. The houses were fussy cut and the snowman is mounted on foam squares. The die on all 3 is from CTMH

I then used a couple of the paper pieces for my second card, added some snowflakes, stitching and a bow and it was done.

Finally with the small pieces that were left I created the final card using one of the penguins from the set. Always some stitching, snowflakes and image on foam squares.

This cute set is available on its own or as a bundle in the Whit Kit. Of course it is on sale right now so be sure to grab it!

Also playing along with some challenges

Inspired By and Guest Designer for JUGS

    Happy New Year!

It’s Thursday so that means another Inspired By Challenge. But I was also asked to be the Guest Designer on JUGS this month and I am pretty excited about that. This week I decided to combine the challenges. I was inspired by the snowmen and the sketch on Inspired By and on JUGS we were to use a cover plate die. I dug through my die collection and found a couple of neglected stitching frame dies from Stamplorations and CTMH and they were perfect. I also used the Hello die from I think MFT.

I paired it with the cute Clip Art snowman which is part of a cute set. Check it out HERE

    Check out the snowmen clipart:

Now here is the Inspired By Inspiration:

And be sure to hop on over to JUGS and check out what the others have done and of course play along!
